Matte about you!

I have always preferred a super shiny finish to my nail polish, but I have now seen the light, and LOVE a matte finish! I have bought the Essie Matte about you mattifying top coat, and think it`s FANTASTIC! I like that it looks so different from all my other polishes, and that it brings new life to all of them.

Today I used it over my green H&M Polish me Happy. The color is a bit dark, but there`s still kind of a winter thing going on here in Norway, so I think it`s ok. (The poor lighting and camera makes it look even darker than it really is…) Can`t wait to bring out the pinks, though. We are all hoping spring is right around the corner. It should be… We are ready! Come on!

Oh, and I am super impressed with the H&M nail polishes. I think they are great, and I have a lot of their colors. They stay on for like a week without chipping (with a topcoat), and they are cheep! They also have a great selection of colors. Me likes!

I`m looking at some of the Essie polishes at Beauty Bay now, and can`t decide what polishes to buy! They are almost half the price compared to here in Norway, so it`s a great deal. Plus they have free world-wide shipping! And if I only order two at a time I don`t have to worry about customs and such… But there are sooo many to choose from! Any tips? I`m thinking pinks and corals. Mmmm, pinks and corals…

A Lush bath.

I love taking baths. Not long relaxing ones, but short and intensely cozy ones. I light a whole lot of candles, bring a glass of wine with me, and use one of my Lush bath products. I put my MacBook on the toilet, and watch half an episode of Gossip Girl (guilty pleasure), before I get too hot and get out. I like that routine, and it makes me happy.

Today I used a lavender bubble bar from Lush, and I know my bathroom will smell like lavender for at least a week. Love. If you`ve never heard of Lush, then check them out here. Their products are all handmade and mostly organic and natural, and they don`t do tests on animals. Me likes!

Do you have any holy grail bath products that you would recommend? Let me know =)

I love/hate this thing…

I love/hate you...

Meet my epilator… I love/hate it. Mostly I love it, though. The thing with epilators is, as you may know, that it removes the hair with the root. That way it takes longer for it to grow back. This part I love.

And then there`s the pain part. It`s painful. Or at least I think it is. I know some people who does`t seem to think it hurts, but I don`t know how that can be. Cause let me tell you, it does. If you have like ten hairs on each leg, it will not hurt. If you are like me, it will… After you are done, and for the next 12 hours, it looks like you have caught some rare tropical decease that just might kill you. Your skin will look like it will never forgive you, but it always does in the end 😉

I`m quite happy with my Braun Silk-epil, and it is not one of the more expensive ones. You don`t need to spend a great deal of money on an epilator. Just make sure that the part that actually does the plucking of the hairs is wide enough, so you don`t have to spend an hour on each leg.

I have a few tips and tricks when it comes to the art of handling an epilator, so if you have questions, please ask! I will share my hairy secrets with anyone who wants to hear them, really.

March favorites.

I have never had a blog before, so I am very new to this whole thing. BUT i have read a few blogs, and I know what I like to read about. I hope you like what I have in my posts =)

The first thing I`ll do, is write about my march favourites! I love to watch beautyvideos on You Tube, and especially monthly favorites. I`m a bit late, but better late than never, ey?

The first thing I really like is The Righteous Butter body lotion from Soap and Glory. I LOVE this lotion! It smells like a piece of heaven, and is perfect in all ways. There is also a body butter if you prefer that, and it smells the same. I got mine at Boots.

I have also really enjoyed the Versace Bright Crystal sent. It is a very floral scent, and is perfect for spring. The only thing is that it does not last very long on the skin.

I have also been loving my Urban Decay Naked Palette. It is the perfect neutral palette, with great shimmery colors. The only negative is that there are only two matte colors. But the great quality of the eyeshadows makes up for it. I got mine at

I have also finally tried the Moroccan Hair Oil. I have been wanting to try this for so long, but haven`t dared to. Well, now I have! The sample came with the Elle magazine , and I love it! It does`t make your hair greasy at all, it just makes it smooth and removes any frizz. I get what the hype is all about! This is however my first encounter with hair oils, so I don`t really have anything to compare it with. But I love it =)

No.7 Triple protection tinted moisturizer, spf 15 in the color fair has also become a good friend in march. It`s light, not greasy, and does not break my skin out. It`s also affordable. What more can a girl ask for? I got this at Boots.

Finally, it`s my MAC Vera Pearlmatte Face Powder in the shade Flower fantasy. It`s perfect for everyday use, and it also has some shimmer that you can choose to include or stay away from. I have used this as my blush every day since I got it, and since it is a limited edition powder I  may be getting a backup of this one. Just in case I never find  something like this again.

So there you have it! My first real blog post, and in English! Who knew… Leave a comment if you like this post, or if you have any tips or tricks I should know about =)

Grr… ARG!
